AR is back!

We are excited to be bringing the Accelerated Reader program back to 8th grade Language Arts this year. Get motiveated to READ! Find at topic that interests you and get your minds in gear for a wonderful experience. Reading can take your minds on fantastic adventures! Be sure to check out your local library - and don't be afraid to ask for suggestions! That is what I am here for - and please post to tell me about what you are reading! I like to hear suggestion from you so that I can build my classroom library...

A couple of days ago, I returned home from the most amazing conference I have ever attended. There were over 18,000 people there from around the world, and would you believe that it was all about technology? I came home with a plethora of information, strategies, and ideas to sort through. One thing is for certain, this is going to be an interesting year full of challenges and success. I plan to integrate the use of technology as much as possible! This will require much consideration and respect, so be prepared to learn with me! I will keep you updated as the summer progresses - warm up those brilliant minds with some reads from my "Summer Reads" section or feel free to read and share your favorites!
